The Murder City Devils
Genres
Meet The Murder City Devils, a wild bunch from Seattle known for mixing horror punk, garage punk, and rowdy rock 'n'roll since forming back in 1996. They made waves starting with their first albums like "Die Young Stay Pretty" and "Empty Bottles, Broken Hearts," but really got people talking after releasing Thelema in 2001—more polished and mature compared to previous records. Unfortunately, just around that time, key players decided to leave, leading to the sudden disbandment during a concert on Halloween night in 2002.
This fiery crew included frontman Spencer Moody belting out gritty tales inspired by boozing adventures, along with talented musicians such as Derek Fudesco on bass, twin guitars handled by Nate Manny and Dann Gallucci, pounding skins courtesy of Coady Willis, and spooky keys brought forth by Leslie Hardy. Don't forget loyal sidekick Gabe, always there supporting the gang through thick and thin.
Fans loved how these guys celebrated every gig like it could be their last, embracing chaos and camaraderie together. After breaking hearts worldwide due to splitting apart, they reunited in 2006 and continued playing occasionally over the years. Each musician has gone off doing different projects post-split, proving you never know what kind of magic might happen once lightning strikes twice!.
