The duo's music style is a blend of several genres, including punk, new wave, and electronica, which they term as "Vada Vada" - a philosophy that encourages creative freedom without limitations.
Wyatt and Fletcher Shears, born in 1993, started their music journey at a young age. They played in several local bands before establishing The Garden. The duo gained recognition for their unique sound and energetic performances, often characterized by their unpredictable antics on stage.
From their debut album "The Life and Times of a Paperclip" in 2013, to their latest release "Kiss My Super Bowl Ring" in 2020, The Garden's music has evolved, continuously pushing boundaries and defying genre conventions. Notably, they have worked with renowned producers like Rob Schnapf and collaborated with artists like Ariel Pink and Le1f.
Despite their experimental style, The Garden has gained a loyal fanbase. They toured extensively in the US, Europe, and Asia, and have performed at significant music festivals like Coachella.
