Meet Sylar, a band from Queens, New York, that rocks out with a mix of metalcore and nu-metal music. They've been jamming since 2011, and their sound is tough, loud, and full of emotion.
At the heart of Sylar are four talented musicians: vocalist Jayden Morgan Panesso, guitarist and vocalist Miguel Cardona, bassist Travis Hufton, and drummer Cody York. These guys started writing their own songs right away, and they didn't waste time—they released their first EP, "Deadbeat," in 2013!
Sylar's hard work paid off, and they grew bigger as time went on. They toured a lot, playing shows across the United States. Fans loved their high-energy performances, which included the songs "Giving Up," "Dark Daze," and "Prescription Meditation" from their debut full-length album "To Whom It May Concern" (2014).
The band's music launched them even higher in 2016 when their second album, "To Whom It May Concern," arrived. This album had a fresh sound thanks to help from producer Josh Wilbur, who has worked with big names like Lamb of God and Gojira. Sylar's songs became even more personal and emotional, like "Assume," "Soul Addiction," and "Prescription for Paradise."
Sylar continued to grow their fanbase with their third album, "Seasons" (2017), featuring the popular songs "ALL OR NOTHING" and "SHOOK!". Their music explored even deeper themes of struggle and perseverance.
By 2019, Sylar had completed a well-received album, "Seasons Decay," which further showcased their evolving sound and penchant for melodic metalcore, with crowd favorites like "SHOCK VALUE" and "OUTSIDER."
In a little over a decade, Sylar, with their resilient, powerful music, grew from local performances to reaching fans worldwide. Their relentless work ethic fostered a loyal fanbase that still celebrates their evolving sound and passionate performances. Despite being hailed as a 'New York nu-metalcore band,' Sylar defines their unique journey in a constant pursuit of evolving their music.
