Superheaven
Superheaven, formerly known as Daylight, is an American alternative rock band from Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The band was formed in 2007 by Taylor Madison and Jake Clarke, who initially played together in a local punk band. They were later joined by drummer Zack Robbins and bassist Joe Kane. Their music is characterized by a mix of grunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock.
The band released a series of EPs under the name Daylight before changing their name to Superheaven in 2014 due to legal issues. Their debut album "Jar" was released in 2013, followed by their second full-length album "Ours Is Chrome" in 2015, both to critical acclaim. Their sound has been compared to that of the 90s grunge era, with influences from bands like Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins.
Superheaven announced an indefinite hiatus in 2016, with members focusing on personal projects. Despite their hiatus, the band's influence continues to be felt in the alternative rock scene, with their music praised for its raw emotion and powerful instrumentation. Their legacy is one of a band that seamlessly blended various rock sub-genres to create a unique, compelling sound.
