Stone Temple Pilots
The Stone Temple Pilots are an American rock band from San Diego, California. They were formed in 1989 and are known for their grunge, hard rock, and alternative rock music. The band consists of four members: Scott Weiland (vocals, lyrics), Dean DeLeo (lead guitar), Robert DeLeo (bass), and Eric Kretz (drums).
The band's name comes from a building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, called the Ennis House. The Stone Temple Pilots have released six studio albums, one live album, one compilation album, and one box set. Their music has elements of heavy metal, psychedelic rock, and blues.
Some of their popular songs include "Plush" (1992), "Creep" (1993), "Interstate Love Song" (1994), and "Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart" (1997). The Stone Temple Pilots have won several awards and have been nominated for more. They are still active and perform live concerts. The band has had some ups and downs, including Scott Weiland's struggles with drugs and their eventual split in 1996. They reunited in 2008 and continue to make music.
