Sevendust
Sevendust is an American heavy metal band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 1994, the band was originally named "Crawlspace" before they renamed to Sevendust after discovering the name was already being used by another band. The original members were lead vocalist Lajon Witherspoon, guitarists Clint Lowery and John Connolly, bassist Vince Hornsby, and drummer Morgan Rose.
Their self-titled debut album was released in 1997, which was well-received and earned them a loyal fan base. The band is known for their aggressive sound infused with elements of nu metal and alternative metal. Their second album, "Home," released in 1999, solidified their place in the metal scene.
Throughout their career, they have released 13 studio albums, with their latest, "Blood & Stone," released in 2020. Despite several lineup changes, most notably the departure and return of Clint Lowery, the band has maintained a consistent sound and presence in the metal scene.
Sevendust has been nominated for a Grammy and has toured extensively around the world, sharing stages with other major acts like Korn, Disturbed, and Staind. Their music features heavy riffs, powerful vocals, and introspective lyrics, earning them a dedicated following. Known for their energetic live performances, Sevendust continues to remain a mainstay in the heavy metal music scene.
