Sepultura

Hey! Let me tell you about Sepultura, a legendary Brazilian metal band that got big thanks to making fast, angry tunes mixed with cool melodies. These guys came together in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, where two brothers—Max and Igor Cavalera—decided to start jamming out. Over the years, lots of different folks played in the band, including singers, guitar players, and drummers. Today, we hear Derrick Green singing, Andreas Kisser shredding away on guitars, Paulo Jr. holding down those low notes, and Eloy Casagrande keeping things tight behind the drums.

Sepultura really took off in the late ’80s and early ‘90s, becoming super popular through stuff like Schizophrenia, Arise and Chaos AD. Then, right near the top of their game, half the founding crew quit, leaving us without either brother anymore. Even though these days none of the OG dudes stick around, the spirit lives on because everyone loves how unique and awesome their music sounds. Plus, they’ve put out tons of hits across many styles, selling millions upon millions of copies everywhere. Pretty sweet deal if ya ask me!
