Senses Fail
Senses Fail is an American post-hardcore band that was formed in Ridgewood, New Jersey, in 2002. The band's original lineup included James "Buddy" Nielsen, Garrett Zablocki, Dave Miller, Mike Glita, and Dan Trapp. Their music is characterized by a fusion of post-hardcore, punk, emo, and heavy metal, with lyrics often focusing on themes of introspection, existentialism, and personal struggle.
Senses Fail released their debut EP, 'From the Depths of Dreams', in 2002, which caught the attention of Drive-Thru Records, leading to their signing. Their first full-length album, 'Let It Enfold You', came out in 2004 and was met with considerable acclaim. This was followed by 'Still Searching' in 2006, which charted at number 15 on the Billboard 200.
Over the years, the band underwent several lineup changes, with Nielsen being the only consistent member. Despite this, they continued to produce music, releasing albums like 'Life Is Not a Waiting Room' (2008), 'The Fire' (2010), 'Renacer' (2013), 'Pull the Thorns from Your Heart' (2015), and 'If There Is Light, It Will Find You' (2018).
Senses Fail is known for their energetic live performances and their commitment to maintaining a close connection with their fanbase. Despite the evolution of their sound and lineup over the years, they have remained a staple of the post-hardcore scene and continue to influence new generations of bands.
