Saosin
Saosin is an influential American post-hardcore band from Newport Beach, California, formed in 2003. The band's name, pronounced "Say-oh-sin," comes from a Chinese proverb about cautiousness. The band’s line-up includes Beau Burchell (guitar), Alex Rodriguez (drums), and Chris Sorenson (bass). The band has seen two significant vocalists, Anthony Green (2003-2004) and Cove Reber (2004-2010), with Green returning in 2014.
Saosin's debut EP, "Translating the Name," was released in 2003 with Green on vocals and quickly gained popularity in the post-hardcore scene with its innovative style and sound. After Green's departure, Reber took over, and the band released their self-titled debut album, "Saosin" in 2006, and "In Search of Solid Ground" in 2009.
Despite Reber's departure in 2010, Saosin continued to tour and produce music. In 2014, Green rejoined the band, leading to the release of their third studio album, "Along the Shadow," in 2016. Saosin's music is characterized by its high-energy performances, intricate guitar work, and emotionally charged lyrics. Despite numerous line-up changes, Saosin has remained a significant force in the post-hardcore genre.
