Pierce the Veil
Pierce the Veil is an American rock band from San Diego, California, formed in 2006. The group consists of members Vic Fuentes (vocals, rhythm guitar), Mike Fuentes (drums), Jaime Preciado (bass), and Tony Perry (lead guitar). They were originally part of a band called "Before Today" until they changed their name and music style, marking the birth of Pierce the Veil.
Their debut album, "A Flair for the Dramatic," was released in 2007, blending elements of rock, punk, and post-hardcore. The band gained significant recognition with the release of their second album, "Selfish Machines," in 2010, which demonstrated their evolving sound and lyrical depth.
Their breakthrough came with their third album, "Collide with the Sky," in 2012. The album peaked at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and the single "King for a Day" became one of their most successful songs.
The band's fourth studio album, "Misadventures," released in 2016, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200. Known for their high-energy performances and deeply emotional lyrics, Pierce the Veil has amassed a dedicated fanbase worldwide. Their music often addresses themes of mental health, love, and personal struggle, resonating with many listeners. Despite facing several controversies and hiatuses, the band continues to be a staple in the post-hardcore scene.
