Nitzer Ebb

Nitzer Ebb is an influential British electronic music group formed in Chelmsford, Essex, England, in 1982. The group consists of founding members Douglas McCarthy (vocals) and Bon Harris (drums, programming), who are recognized as pioneers of the Electronic Body Music (EBM) and industrial techno genres.

Their music is characterized by a minimalist, yet danceable, electronic beat, typically accompanied by distinctive, commanding vocals. Their early work was primarily influenced by punk and new wave, which gradually evolved into a more electronic and aggressive style, inspiring many future electro-industrial acts.

Nitzer Ebb's debut album "That Total Age" was released in 1987, featuring their breakthrough single "Join in the Chant." This was followed by successful albums like "Belief" and "Ebbhead." Their most popular hit, "Let Your Body Learn," has become a staple in dance clubs worldwide.

After a hiatus in the late 90s, Nitzer Ebb reunited in 2006 for a series of live performances, and in 2010, they released their most recent studio album, "Industrial Complex."
