Mr. Bungle is an American experimental rock band known for its unconventional style and eclectic mix of musical genres. Formed in 1985 in Northern California, the band originally consisted of Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton, Trey Spruance, Theo Lengyel, and Jed Watts.
Mr. Bungle's music combines elements of jazz, funk, heavy metal, ska, and a myriad of other styles, creating a unique sound that defies easy categorization. Their lyrics often feature dark humor and bizarre themes, adding to their distinctive style.
The band released their self-titled debut album in 1991, which was well received by critics for its innovative and unpredictable sound. Despite their critical acclaim, Mr. Bungle disbanded in 2000, with the members going on to pursue various other musical projects. However, in 2019, the band reunited with original members Dunn, Patton, and Spruance, accompanied by Scott Ian and Dave Lombardo, and released "The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny Demo" in 2020.
