Loathe
Loathe is a British heavy metal band hailing from Liverpool, England. Formed in 2014, the group consists of five members: Kadeem France (vocals), Erik Bickerstaffe (guitar/vocals), Connor Sweeney (guitar), Sean Radcliffe (drums), and Feisal El-Khazragi (bass). Their music is an eclectic mix of metalcore, nu metal, and post-hardcore, with influences of shoegaze and ambient music.
Loathe's debut EP, "Prepare Consume Proceed", was released in 2015, immediately making waves in the UK's underground metal scene. Their first full-length album, "The Cold Sun", released in 2017, further enhanced their reputation, presenting a concept album set in a post-apocalyptic future.
Their sophomore album, "I Let It in and It Took Everything", released in 2020, was a critical success, gaining widespread acclaim for its genre-blurring approach. It showcased a broader range of styles, including elements of jazz, electronic music, and dream pop.
Loathe has toured extensively, both as headliners and in support of bands like Hollywood Undead, Beartooth, and While She Sleeps. They are known for their intense, theatrical live performances and their relentless work ethic. Despite their relatively short career so far, Loathe has made a significant impact on the heavy music scene and continues to push the boundaries of their genre.
