Lloyd
Lloyd Polite Jr., known by his moniker 'Lloyd', is a celebrated American R&B singer, songwriter, and actor born on January 3, 1986, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He kick-started his music career as a member of the preteen boy band, 'N-Toon', which was active from 1996 to 2001.
In 2004, Lloyd embarked on a solo career and released his debut album, "Southside," featuring the hit single of the same name. The album, which also included a collaboration with Ashanti, peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 200 and was certified gold.
His second album, "Street Love," released in 2007, shot him to stardom with the single "You," featuring Lil Wayne. This album also included the popular track "Get It Shawty."
In 2008, he released his third album, "Lessons in Love," which spawned the hit single "Girls Around the World," once again featuring Lil Wayne. Lloyd's fourth studio album, "King of Hearts," was released in 2011 and featured collaborations with several notable artists, including Andre 3000, Chris Brown, and Trey Songz.
