Larkin Poe is an American roots rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, fronted by sisters Rebecca Lovell and Megan Lovell. Named after their great-great-great-grandfather, the band was originally formed in 2005 as a trio that included their older sister, Jessica. They were initially known as The Lovell Sisters and released two albums under that name.
In 2010, Rebecca and Megan relaunched as Larkin Poe, a name that pays tribute to their family history. Rebecca is the lead vocalist and plays guitar, mandolin, and piano, while Megan provides backing vocals and plays the lap steel guitar. Their music is a blend of blues, rock, and folk, with a strong emphasis on harmonies and complex instrumentation.
Larkin Poe has released five studio albums, with their debut album "KIN" released in 2014. Their 2018 album "Venom & Faith" was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album. They have performed at festivals around the world and have opened for and collaborated with various artists including Elvis Costello and Keith Urban.
