(Hed) P.E.
Hed PE, also known as (hed) Planet Earth, is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band was founded by vocalist Jared Gomes, often known as "M.C.U.D" (MC Underdog), and guitarist Wes Geer.
Their music is a fusion of styles ranging from hip hop, punk rock, and reggae to heavy metal and alternative rock. Hed PE's lyrics often contain sociopolitical themes, advocating against the machinations of the government and corporate entities.
The band released their self-titled debut album in 1997 under Jive Records, gaining them a dedicated fanbase. However, it was their third album, "Broke" (2000), that propelled them into mainstream success, featuring a guest appearance by System of a Down's Serj Tankian.
Despite numerous line-up changes over the years, Hed PE has consistently produced music, with over ten studio albums to their name. The only constant member, vocalist Jared Gomes, has been the driving force behind the band's longevity.
Hed PE's unique blend of genres, their rebellious spirit, and their energetic live performances have secured them a place in the annals of rock history. Despite the challenges they've faced, they continue to make music that pushes boundaries and challenges the status quo.
