Halestorm
Halestorm is an American rock band that originated in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, in 1997. The band was formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Lzzy Hale and her brother, drummer Arejay Hale. The Hale siblings initiated their musical journey as early as their pre-teen years, playing at county fairs and local events. The band's lineup was solidified in 2004 when guitarist Joe Hottinger joined, followed by bassist Josh Smith in 2005.
Halestorm signed with Atlantic Records in 2005, and their self-titled debut album was released in 2009. Known for their energetic and explosive live performances, Halestorm has toured extensively with various artists including Shinedown, Stone Sour, and Disturbed. Their second album, "The Strange Case Of...," released in 2012, featured the Grammy-winning single "Love Bites (So Do I)," making Halestorm the first female-fronted band to win in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category.
Halestorm continues to be a powerful force in the rock scene, releasing several successful albums and maintaining a rigorous touring schedule. The band's music, characterized by heavy riffs, powerful vocals, and raw, honest lyrics, has resonated with a broad audience, making them one of the most successful modern rock bands. Their dynamic performances and unique sound have earned them a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim worldwide.
