Meet Fozzy, a rock 'n' roll group that has been jamming since the late 1990s! This amazing band combines the power of heavy metal and the energy of professional wrestling, making them stand out in the music scene.
Fozzy was founded in 1999 by pro wrestler Chris Jericho and guitarist Rich Ward. They started as a fun cover band, where they'd rock some famous tunes by legendary acts like Krokus, Scorpions, and Dio. But over time, Fozzy evolved into so much more!
In 2000, the band released their debut album, "Fozzy," which was all about those epic covers. But their second album, "Happenstance" (2002), showed the world their original music chops, and they've never looked back. Albums like "Chasing the Grail" in 2010 and "Judas" in 2017 added to their collection of intense rock tunes.
Fozzy is known for electrifying live performances, where Chris Jericho's charisma and stage presence are as awesome as his pro wrestling career. Their popularity has grown continuously, and they have toured with some of the biggest names in the metal world, including Iron Maiden, Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, and Shinedown.
Along with Jericho and Ward, Fozzy's lineup includes talented bandmates Frank Fontsere, Billy Grey, and PJ Farley. They're still making music together and planning to release their next album, "Boombox," in 2024.
Fozzy's unique blend of hard-hitting rhythms, soaring vocals, and showmanship has earned them a loyal fanbase and a place in the hard rock history books. Whether you're a wrestling fan, a metalhead, or just love killer music, Fozzy is definitely a group worth shouting for!
