Fear Factory

Fear Factory is an American heavy metal band that was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1989. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist Burton C. Bell, guitarist Dino Cazares, bassist Andrew Shives, and drummer Raymond Herrera. Shives was later replaced by Christian Olde Wolbers in 1993.

Fear Factory is renowned for pioneering a unique blend of industrial metal and death metal, characterized by high-speed double bass drumming, guitar riffs, and Bell's distinctive combination of aggressive growls and melodic clean vocals. The band's lyrics often explore futuristic and dystopian themes, inspired by works of science fiction.

They debuted with the album "Soul of a New Machine" in 1992, which gained them significant underground following. Their breakthrough came with the release of their second album "Demanufacture" in 1995, which is often considered one of the greatest industrial metal albums of all time.

Over the years, Fear Factory has released a total of ten full-length albums, with their latest, "Aggression Continuum", released in 2021. Despite numerous lineup changes, legal disputes, and hiatuses, Fear Factory has remained a significant force in the metal scene and continues to influence many bands in the genre.
