Code Orange
Code Orange is an American hardcore punk band that originated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The group was formed in 2008 under the name "Code Orange Kids" by members Eric Balderose, Reba Meyers, Jami Morgan, and Joe Goldman. They released their first EP, "Cycles," in 2009.
The band's debut full-length album, "Love Is Love/Return to Dust," was released in 2012, marking their transition to a heavier, more mature sound. In 2014, they shortened their name to "Code Orange" and released their second album, "I Am King," which was met with critical acclaim for its innovative blend of hardcore punk, metal, and industrial elements.
Their third album, "Forever," released in 2017, continued their tradition of genre-blending and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, making them one of the youngest bands ever to receive a nomination in this category.
In 2020, they released "Underneath," their fourth studio album, which further pushed the boundaries of their sound and received widespread critical acclaim. Since their inception, Code Orange has been known for their intense, high-energy live performances and their refusal to adhere to traditional genre boundaries. They are considered a leading force in the modern hardcore scene.
