Introducing CKY (short for "Camp Kill Yourself"), a quirky four-piece rock band that's been grinding the music scene since 1998. Hailing from West Chester, Pennsylvania, this band comprises Deron Miller (vocals, guitar, and bass), Chad I. Ginsburg (guitar, vocals, and bass), Jess Margera (drums), and Matt "Dice" Deis (bass).
Born from a shared disenchantment with mainstream music, CKY's sound blends neo-progressive rock with a sprinkle of apocalyptic tones. Their detuned calliope riffs and scornful lyrics have earned them a loyal following in the skateboarding community. The band gained substantial recognition with their debut album 'Volume 1' and standout tracks like "96 Quite Bitter Beings" and "The Human Drive In Hi-Fi."
Fueled by their synergy, CKY's career ignited when pro skateboarder and drummer Jess Margera's brother Bam showcased CKY's music in skateboarding videos. MTV took notice and aired a CKY video, further propelling their popularity.
As a testament to their hard work and unconventional approach, CKY released the DVD Video album in 2003, featuring music videos for each track on the 'Infiltrate · Destroy · Rebuild' album and more. Today, CKY continues to captivate fans while sharing stages with famous acts like Avenged Sevenfold.
