Chevelle
Chevelle is an American rock band that was formed in 1995 in Grayslake, Illinois. The band was originally composed of three brothers: Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar), Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), and Joe Loeffler (bass and backing vocals). Joe left the band in 2005 and was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini, who served as the bassist until 2019.
Chevelle's music is often classified as alternative metal or hard rock. They have cited influences from bands like Helmet and Tool. The band got their breakthrough in 2002 with their platinum-certified second album 'Wonder What's Next'. This album spawned the hits "The Red" and "Send the Pain Below", both reaching the top spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart.
Throughout their career, Chevelle has released several successful albums, including 'This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In)' (2004), 'Vena Sera' (2007), and 'La Gárgola' (2014), each showcasing their heavy, melodic sound. As of 2021, they have released nine studio albums and two live albums.
Despite lineup changes and the challenges of the music industry, Chevelle has maintained a consistent presence in the rock scene for over two decades. Their longevity can be attributed to their passionate fan base and their dedication to their craft.
