Bring Me the Horizon
Bring Me The Horizon (BMTH) is a British rock band from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, formed in 2004. The group consists of lead vocalist Oliver Sykes, guitarist Lee Malia, bassist Matt Kean, drummer Matt Nicholls, and keyboardist Jordan Fish. They are often credited with pioneering a mix of metalcore, electronica, pop, and orchestral elements.
BMTH released their debut album, "Count Your Blessings," in 2006. It was noted for its heavy metalcore sound. However, they began to incorporate a more eclectic style with their second album, "Suicide Season" (2008), which showed the band's versatility and growth.
Their third album, "There Is a Hell, Believe Me, I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret" (2010), marked a shift towards a more experimental sound, with the incorporation of electronic and orchestral elements.
In 2013, they released "Sempiternal," which was a commercial success and helped the band gain a significant following. The album "That's The Spirit" (2015) and "Amo" (2019) further solidified their move from their metalcore roots to a more rock and pop-oriented sound, gaining both critical acclaim and commercial success.
BMTH's lyrics often deal with themes of love, life, death, and personal struggles, resonating with a wide audience. Despite the evolution of their sound over time, the band has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to be a prominent force in the rock music scene.
