Bodysnatcher is an American deathcore band that originated in Melbourne, Florida, in 2014. The group's name is inspired by a song from the band "The Acacia Strain." The band's music is characterized by its heavy, downtempo style and lyrics often dealing with personal struggles and dark themes.
The original line-up consisted of vocalist Chris Whited, guitarists Kyle Carter and Austin Coupe, bassist Wade Cramer, and drummer Josh Baker. They initially gained attention with their debut EP 'Abandonment' released in 2015. This was followed by their first studio album, 'Abandon All Hope,' in 2016 which reinforced their presence in the deathcore scene.
