Black Stone Cherry
Black Stone Cherry is an American hard rock band formed in 2001 in Edmonton, Kentucky. The band's original lineup consisted of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jon Lawhon (bass guitar, backing vocals), and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals), the son of The Kentucky Headhunters' rhythm guitarist Richard Young.
Black Stone Cherry's music is regularly described as southern rock and hard rock. They are known for their energetic performances, lyrical themes drawn from their southern United States roots, and the powerful vocals of lead singer Chris Robertson.
Their eponymous debut album was released in 2006, featuring their breakout single "Lonely Train." It was followed by "Folklore and Superstition" in 2008, "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" in 2011, "Magic Mountain" in 2014, "Kentucky" in 2016, and "Family Tree" in 2018. Their latest album, "The Human Condition," was released in 2020.
The band has enjoyed success both in the US and internationally, with several of their singles charting on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. They've toured extensively, supporting bands like Def Leppard and Lynyrd Skynyrd, and have gained a reputation for their no-holds-barred live shows.
