Architects
Architects is a British metalcore band from Brighton, East Sussex, formed in 2004. The group was originally named "Counting the Days" until they decided to rename it as Architects after the song "The Architect" by Every Time I Die. The band consists of drummer Dan Searle, who co-founded the group with his late twin brother and guitarist Tom Searle, vocalist Sam Carter, bassist Alex Dean, and guitarist Adam Christianson.
Architects' music is characterized by a fusion of metalcore, post-hardcore, and progressive metal, marked by complex guitar riffs and aggressive vocals. Their lyrics often touch on philosophical, social, and political themes. The band has been praised for their technical musicianship and live performances.
Since their formation, Architects have released nine studio albums, with their breakthrough coming in 2014 with the album "Lost Forever // Lost Together," which marked a shift towards a more melodic and atmospheric sound. Their 2018 album "Holy Hell" was a tribute to Tom Searle, who passed away in 2016, and received critical acclaim for its emotional depth and maturity.
Despite facing numerous challenges, Architects have solidified their place as one of the most influential bands in the modern metal scene, known for their powerful music and meaningful lyrics.
